Palazzo Ruspoli Il palazzo fu costruito alla metà del XVI secolo dalla famiglia Jacobilli che, avendo esaurito le proprie sostanze prima ancora di averlo terminato lo vendette, nel 1583 alla famiglia toscana dei Rucellai, la quale incaricò l' architetto e scultore fiorentino Bartolomeo Ammannati (1511-1592) di completare l'edificio.

Il primo nucleo di Palazzo Ruspoli ( nella foto sopra, con ingresso su largo Goldoni 56), attribuito a Nanni di Baccio Bigio, fu costruito nel 1556 per Francesco Jacobilli, tesoriere ed appaltatore pontificio. Il fiorentino Orazio Rucellai lo acquistò nel 1583, dando incarico a Bartolomeo Ammannati di trasformarlo in una magnifica residenza.
